Traffic 11 Call for Papers

Traffic is a refereed, interdisciplinary journal published by the University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association (GSA). The Editor invites articles from graduate students (postgraduates) in all disciplines that present their research findings in an accessible style to the broader University community. Traffic offers a $1,000 prize for the best article published in each edition. Published articles meet DEEWR refereeing requirements and are included in full-text in Cengage databases.

The theme for Traffic number 11 is 'Fact or Fiction?' Can you disprove a
commonly held idea? Or attempt to demonstrate the veracity of a particular
hypothesis? Perhaps you might like to question the very notion of whether
we can ever consider a piece of knowledge to be a 'fact'? Submissions may
engage with any aspect of crediting or discrediting a particular idea,
belief or practice. Alternately, essays may problematise the
categorisation of information as factual or fictional.

Article submissions of no more than 5000 words (excluding endnotes) are
due on Monday 2 June 2009. Before submitting to Traffic, please read the
submission guidelines: www.gsa.unimelb.edu.au/traffic
Articles should use endnotes as set out in the Traffic style guide, not
in-text citation.

If you would like further advice on contributing an article or a review to
Traffic number 11, contact the Editor at traffic@gsa.unimelb.edu.au.
Books review submissions are open to all graduate students at Australian
universities.
