NVivo Pro is a powerful program that provides a set of advanced coding tools for qualitative data analysis.

This is the only comprehensive NVivo training program provided face-to-face and on campus at the University of Melbourne.

The introduction and advanced courses will take you through all you need to know to make the most of your data. The introductory course covers setting up a project, importing and coding. The advanced course is a further extension into classifying, modeling, reporting findings and exploring your data.

The course is best taken when you have your data and are ready to code it, but the course offers practical learning and a handbook is provided. There’s no need to bring your own data as a training set will be provided.

N.B.: You will need a valid unimelb staff or student log-in to attend this course. There are 13 places available per session. If the session books out, please join the waiting list.

The course is taught using NVivo Pro for windows on windows-based computers provided in the learning centre. Because the modules explored in the introduction program are similar to Mac modules, we do still advise that Mac users that the learning outcomes of the introduction session of the NVivo program are transferable to Mac. If you would be interested in attending a dedicated Mac training course, please email us: programs@gsa.unimelb.edu.au.
