GSA welcomes feedback from postgraduates

The University of Melbourne Graduate Student Association Inc welcomes both positive and negative feedback from our members about its activities.  Feedback helps us provide better services and representation.

1. If you want to make a suggestion or comment about GSA

You can make a suggestion by putting a note in the Suggestion Box in the Graduate Loungeroom, or by emailing or writing to GSA:

If you include contact details in your suggestion or comment then GSA will respond to you.  Anonymous suggestions cannot be responded to.

2. Participating in decisionmaking

GSA members (enrolled Uni of Melbourne postgraduate students) have the right to participate in GSA's decision-making processes. You can propose policy or decisions to GSA's graduate Council, run for election, or petition for a general meeting.  Contact the General Manager (email j.ruth (at) gsa.unimelb.edu.au  or phone 8344 8657) for more details.

3. If you have a complaint

GSA undertakes that graduate complaints about GSA will be listened to and dealt with promptly and fairly. A protocol for dealing with member complaints is in place, available here.To make an official complaint about UMPA activities, make an appointment with the appropriate person (via GSA Reception) or write to GSA at the address given above.If you want to directly contact the person who will handle your formal complaint, instead of contacting them via GSA Reception, click here for details.

4. If you've made a complaint or suggestion - and the response is unsatisfactory

If you are a postgraduate student who has complained or made a suggestion, and you're not happy with the response, then postgraduate students can directly contact the GSA President at president (at) gsa.unimelb.edu.au or write to GSA Council (c/- the GSA General Manager, email j.ruth (at) gsa.unimelb.edu.au)
