Graduate Space
The Graduate Centre offers a variety of public spaces for postgraduates.
Study Areas
- There are two General Study Rooms for postgraduate use — upstairs in the East Wing (Rm 153) and upstairs in the West Wing (Rm 121).
- The Loft includes several quiet study spaces.
Kitchens
Kitchens with microwaves, fridges, boiling water and filtered water are located at:
- Ground floor West Wing (Rm G15)
- First floor East Wing kitchen (Rm 152)
- First floor Central kitchen (Rm 106)
- The Loft (2nd floor)
Fridges are regularly emptied for cleaning — check the notices posted on fridge doors.
Filtered drinking water is available at the ground floor West Wing kitchen (Rm G15) and upstairs East Wing kitchen (Rm 152). Vending machines for soft drinks and snacks are in the first floor central kitchen (Rm 106) and Postgrad Loungeroom.
The Loft
The Loft is at the very top of the Graduate Centre, and can be accessed from the stairs in the centre of the building. The Loft has study areas with desks, a lounge area with couches, an outdoor balcony area, lockers, boiling water, a fridge, SPIN data points, and an internal telephone.
The Postgrad Loungeroom
The Loungeroom is located on the ground floor next to UMPA Reception in the West Wing (Rm G10). The room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Loungeroom has lots of sofas, magazines and newspapers, meeting tables, lockers, noticeboards and an internal telephone.
